Fundraising at 1st Foots Cray
In order to maintain a viable Group at 1st Foots Cray Scouts, with an interesting range of activities, challenges and adventures for all age groups, we currently have to raise £4K per annum, over and above the level of subscriptions that are collected annually from the members. This is achieved through a regular programme of fundraising activities, including holding sponsored events, Cabaret evenings, BBQs, quiz nights and raffles, as well as hiring out the hall from time to time to local community groups for other not-for profit activities.
Our fundraising activities at 1st Foots Cray Scout Group are also designed to provide a social element to the Group and allow parents to enjoy themselves, as well as the children.
We have a dedicated Fundraising Committee, which is made up of volunteer parents of each of the individual Sections of the Group and other members of the Group.
If anyone is interested in either volunteering to join the Fundraising Committee at 1st Foots Cray Scouts or in helping the Scout Group to organise a fundraising event, then please do not hesitate to contact the GSL.
