1st Foots Cray Scout Group

Group Information

The 1st Foots Cray Scout Group is one of the oldest Scout Groups in Sidcup in the London Borough of Bexley, on the borders of North East Kent. We own our hall which is located in Rectory Lane, and backs onto Foots Cray Meadows.

We are currently finalising a major improvement to our HQ. Over the last year a new kitchen, changing area, and toilets have been installed. Insulation has been upgraded to the walls and ceiling, the building has been completely rewired and a new roof fitted. Outside lighting has been installed to allow more outdoor activities. A new burglar alarm, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems have been fitted. This has been achieved thanks to many years fund raising by friends, parents, leaders and supporters and due to several recent grants.

Although the 1st Foots Cray (Sidcup) Scouts Group owns the building in Sidcup, we currently rent the land from the London Borough of Bexley. We are currently finalising some changes to the lease that will allow us to offer use of the building to other community groups or for similar purposes. If you would like more information then drop us a line at gsl@footscrayscouts.org.uk
