A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Group AGM and Fun Day. It was fantastic to see so many young people, parents, families and volunteers together and to have the opportunity to celebrate some of the achievements and contributions of our Group.During the meeting, we were pleased to welcome Stuart, our District Lead Volunteer, and to recognise a number of people who have made a fantastic contribution to the Group.
GSL Annual Awards
Congratulations to Anna, Noah, Nadia and Aviyan, who were recognised in this year's GSL Annual Awards, celebrating achievements across our Beaver, Cub and Scout sections, including the Scout of the Year Award.Well done to you all – very well deserved

Our partnered Explorer Scout Unit, Excalibur, presented their awards and a big congratulations to Samuel on receiving this year's trophy
A special thank you to Joy
After six years as our Group Chair, Joy Hopkins is stepping down from the role and will be exploring other opportunities within the Group.A massive thank you to Joy for her commitment, help and support, over the years.
Recognising our volunteers
Our Group Treasurer, Richard Potts, received his long-overdue 5 Years' Service Award – congratulations and thank you for everything you do behind the scenes. Not just with the finances but for all the many hours spent with all the maintenance and improvements you continue to make to the hall and grounds.
Gina Dilling, our Beaver & Cub Team Leader, was recognised for her outstanding professionalism, compassion and dedication in responding to a serious medical incident in 2014.
The Commendation Award was signed by the UK Head of Programme and presented on behalf of the Chief Scout. A very special recognition of Gina's actions and commitment.
We were particularly proud to see Karl Cantwell, our long-standing Group Lead Volunteer, presented with the Silver Acorn Award for Specially Distinguished Service. Karl has been involved as a leader in Scouting for 40 years, joining 1st Foots Cray in 1989. Over that time he has held numerous concurrent roles both within the Group and elsewhere in Scouting, giving countless hours of support.
And finally, a huge thank you to our whole volunteer team.To all our Leaders, Trustees and supporters, thank you for everything you do throughout the year to keep 1st Foots Cray Scout Group running.Whether you're leading meetings, organising activities and camps, looking after the hall and equipment, managing the Group, dealing with finances and administration, or simply helping out when needed – your time and commitment make a real difference to our young people.
We couldn't do it without you.
